A great book!!

Most of you that know me well know that I love to start books but rarely finish them. I have tons of friends that are book nerds (Debbie =) They can read a book a day and still have 30 books on their wish list. Well a friend of mine let me borrow a book that I finished from front to back in two days!!! Needless to say I couldn't put the book down. The book is called "Childwise" and is written by Gary Ezzo and Robert Bucknam. This book is a parenting book for parents of children ages 3-7. In only a matter of days this book has transformed the way we parent. We have already seen a huge difference in the attitudes of our children and in ourselves. One of the things that really hit home to us was the fact that we can tell our kids how they should talk to others, treat others, and love others, but if we aren't showing those virtues in the way we live our lives and treat each other as husband and wife, then our words mean nothing. WOW!!! We are really trying to work on putting our marriage first. The kids light up when they see us hugging or kissing. Hannah may say "oh yuck" but behind the "oh yuck" is a cute little grin looking back at us. If you have kids between the ages of 3-7 I highly recommend this book. Who knows I may even try reading another book soon =)
