Unpredictable
If there is one thing I have learned about life it's that life is unpredictable. Someone once told me that when dealing with struggles, hard times, and life's curveballs that God isn't as concerned with the struggle as He is with how you handle it. So I am about to throw it out there. Yep I have decided to just throw it up (that's how it feels sometimes). After 10 years of marriage Kenneth and I have filed for divorce. It's been a tough few years as we have tried to work this out, figure this out and struggle through the hardest time of our lives. Because I have decided to tell you about this I also want you to know some very important truths in this matter. 1. I love Kenneth (always have always will) 2. I believe he loves me too. 3. We are still friends (I hope we always will be). 4. Our kids love us both and we both love them more than life itself. 5. This decision was not made quickly or without many tears, lots of heartache, and a lot of prayer. 6. This is a private matter between me, Kenneth, and our families so please don't ask a lot of questions, just lift us up in prayer. 7. God is still the God of all creation, I love Him, and He still has a plan for our life. The plan is for good and not for harm. He has been faithful through the years and continues to be faithful today. 8. This is the last thing I thought would ever happen but life is unpredictable and I hope and pray that I will come through this in a way that makes my kids, my family, myself, and most importantly my creator proud. 9. I chose to tell you b/c I realize that we often hide the things in our life that we think are ugly or that might make us vulnerable. Sometimes life is ugly. Sometimes it's unpredictable. Sometimes it's great. Sometimes it hurts like heck. Through the good, bad, and ugly I need friends and family to be a part of the journey. I would never have wanted any of this to happen but I do think the journey has grown me in ways I can't even explain. I have learned not to judge someone until you have lived life with them, I have realized that I still have a lot to learn and a lot of areas that still need growth, I have also learned to love more deeply, to be real, to remain hopeful in the midst of pain, and to treasure the little people in my life a whole lot more. I am completely imperfect and perfectly complete in Him (God). Ok here it goes I am about to hit publish post (feeling sick inside but God says go for it - PUBLISH POST!!!) -Loree
