soccer star / golf pro

This weekend was filled with fun for the Sumner household. We took the kids to see "Babe" at the Art Museum. The movie is outside on a huge screen. We packed a picnic with snacks, drinks, blankets, pillows, etc... The movie didn't start until 9pm but the kids stayed up for the entire thing. We had a sitter for Hudson but 15 minutes after we left the house I called to check on him and she said he had been screaming "go movie" ever since we left. Last week he did the same thing when we tried to leave him so we could go to my parents lake. He ended up with us b/c he gave us his puppy dog eyes, turned down lip, and "go lake" routine. He just wants to be with the family!! Saturday was Hannah's first soccer game. I wasn't able to go b/c Hudson wasn't feeling well and was still asleep when it was time to go. My mom and Kenneth went. They said she was a real "star" (ha ha) She just wanted to watch for most of the game and when she had her chance to go in they said she kicked the ball and walked off the field. She told them she was bored with soccer. Later I asked her why she was bored and she said she meant she was tired. I guess that makes since - We had a fire alarm beeping at our house until about 3am the night before b/c we couldn't figure out how to turn it off. I tore apart every fire alarm we had and finally at 3am realized it was our carbon monoxide alarm beeping to let us know we needed to replace the battery (ugggghhh). I attended the annual girls golf outing in Jamestown. We had so much fun and so many laughs. I think I actually laughed so hard that I started crying (that hasn't happened for a while) One of the girls on my team (Julie Briley) asked if in "real" golf the sand was quick sand. We just laughed and laughed over that one. Can you imagine "Don't hit it in the sand or it might disappear and don't go get it b/c you might disappear" Ha ha. Anyway, my team did pretty good. We had snacks for every hole (the best part of playing golf) and umbrellas if needed. You know Indiana - When we arrived it was cold and cloudy, 15 minutes later the sun came out and it was hot, 15 minutes later we had a downpour that lasted 10 minutes, and then the rest of the day was beautiful. We all had dinner in Jamestown after (for those of you that don't live around here, Jamestown is a very small town) Where else can you have a Fillet, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, salad, drinks, and dessert for around $10!!!! What a deal. Sunday we attended a family reunion on Raccoon lake. We had a great time and the kids had a blast. The kids got to got tubing with Kenneth. After they got off the real ride began for Kenneth (ha ha) note the picture of him flying in the air. I think he might of said slow down, but I think I told the driver to speed up by accident (hee hee) My great grandma turned 96!! Hannah helped her blow out her candles =) She loves old people =) She spent most of her day with the old ladies - of course they all loved her and doted on her. It was a great weekend!!
